The top Czech football federation official responsible for the national team, Vlastimil Kostal, said he would step down from those duties as soon as a new team manager is found.
"I already informed earlier, that in the case of the team's lack of success I would also finish with the national team and I am sticking by that" Kostal, who holds the post of federation first vice president, said.
"That does not at all remove the responsibility that I must recommend to the operating committee a replacement for manager (Karel) Bruckner," he said.
